Born from a long family heritage in the copper sculpting business.
My grandfather, Reuben “Jake” Gariepy, started Copperland in 1977 in Lake Linden, MI. In the late 1980s, my parents, Terry and Jean, started working in the copper shop with my grandparents, Jake and Lois. My parents took over the business in 1991 and operated it until they retired. In the late 1980s, I started working with my grandfather and father learning the trade. Throughout the next 20 years, I worked in the business creating copper art sculptures as well as custom pieces. My wife, Jessica, worked briefly in the business in the late 1990s. We were married in 1999 and both started careers in other fields. My parents retired in 2012 and so did the Gariepy Family producing copper sculptures. Now in 2023, I have started 906 Copper L.L.C. to provide high-quality, hand-made metal artwork. Our sculptures are 100% copper with brass accents made in Lake Linden, MI.
Once again, thanks for looking and more to come!!!
